Sam Johnstone – 6/10

Kept a clean sheet and only faced one shot on target. Didn’t need to do anything as Bristol couldn’t get anything going.

Ahmed Elmohamady – 6/10

Very good going forward and solid defensively. Didn’t put a foot wrong.

Tommy Elphick – 8/10

Another solid performance from Tommy, who is now starting to prove the nay-sayers wrong. Some good headers and clearances away. We could maybe see Tommy start more often after these recent performances.

James Chester – 7/10

Like Elphick, Chester was solid at the back and the two might be starting to build a good relationship.

Alan Hutton – 7/10

As usual, Alan put in 110% and is playing well at left-back. Was solid and played some nice balls forward, as well as some key passes.

Mile Jedinak – 7/10

Jedi is now starting to find his feet and looks good and comfortable at where he is playing. Good performance again and hopefully he continues to play this way.

Conor Hourihane – 8/10

Hourihane has been playing very well recently and that’s because he’s been playing in a more attacking position. This is where Bruce should play him as he scores in those positions. Grabbed the fifth goal in a triumphant win.

Robert Snodgrass – 9/10

Snoddy is on fire scoring three in two. Two of the goals were against Bristol and he took them very well. Great performance from him again, and if Snodgrass keeps playing this way, then we’re going to get good results.

Jack Grealish – 8/10

Great performance from Jack. Got kicked about by the Bristol City defenders, because that was all they could do. He controlled the game and looked dangerous going forward.

Albert Adomah – 6/10

Put some great crosses into the box and showed off his play making skills. He didn’t score, and although we have been relying on him to get goals, he didn’t score this week. This is a positive, as it shows we’re not overly reliant on Albert.

Scott Hogan – 7/10

Got a goal which was important for him. Worked his socks off and can hopefully kick on from here.

Birkir Bjarnason – 6/10

Came on and made an impact almost immediately, scoring the fourth goal by slotting into the bottom right corner.

Callum O’Hare – 6/10

Looked lively when he replaced Jack Grealish and keeps impressing both the fans and manager.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy – 6/10

Came on later in the game, replacing Scott Hogan. Whipped in the cross which after a few mistakes from Bristol City found the feet of Conor Hourihane, who tucked it away.
